We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer – APQP to join our technical manufacturing group.

Job Summary

Serves as the primary point of contact for customers to ensure robust Advanced Product Quality Planning and is the project leader during the validation phase through production part approval. Provides technical leadership and training for both internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

New Product Launch

  • Lead the engineering, quality, and manufacturing/process team members in the development of advanced product quality planning.
  • Manage the launch process during the process/product validation phase through production part approval.

Technical Leadership and Training

  • Lead the organization in quality-related training and process development to meet NBP product and process quality standards.
  • Serve as an internal auditor for the plant quality systems.

Customer and Stakeholder Support

  • Actively work with team members to improve company cost of quality and other key performance metrics.
  • Review engineering change proposals and implement the appropriate controls to meet requirements.
  • Support the CAPA Engineer with the implementation of corrective and preventive actions through root cause analysis as needed.
  • Maintain quality information databases as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Training/Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant training and/or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment.
ASQ-Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) a plus.

Job Skills Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office and statistical packages.
Ability to effectively present technical information.
Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Quality Management principles.
Ability to participate in a team environment.
Positive, self-motivated, team player willing to work hard to support and accomplish company objectives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
