New Berlin Plastics is a family-owned custom injection molder located in Southeastern Wisconsin and has been serving customers since 1975. We are committed to quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. We are looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our production team.
We are searching for and experienced Production Supervisor to lead a team of committed individuals dedicated to meeting customer expectations and working to grow the business.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys working with people, supporting daily operations, and keeping production running smoothly.
Who is motivated to learn and develop new skills. You’ll lead production employees, support daily manufacturing activities, and ensure our products are made safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assign employees work to produce products according to production schedule per quality and manufacturing standards.
  • Plans, assigns daily priorities and coordinates activities of the production team.
  • Provides training and coaching to support compliance with company policies including safety and manufacturing procedures.
  • Actively coaches, trains, develops, and counsels employees in support of their personal and professional growth to enhance production efficiency.
  • Identifies training gaps and ensures training is delivered to support of their personal and professional growth to enhance production efficiency.
  • Monitor scrap, quality, and efficiency and take corrective action as needed.
  • Performs routine audits of molding and finishing operations to ensure that all procedures and standards are followed. Request / direct corrective action as needed .
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Reviews daily production reports to support inventory accuracy and drive improvements where necessary addressing issues related to inefficiencies and scrap.
  • Works with Manufacturing Manager to identify and implement improvement projects to increase safety, production efficiency, and reduce downtime.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting for production and process issues.
  • Works with Human Resources in staffing activities such as interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training / development of hourly employees and staff.
  • Maintain attendance and personnel records.
  • Investigate and document workplace injuries as required.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of supervisor experience in manufacturing and/or combination of relevant work experience and education in related field.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coach, mentor, and productions teams.
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, and hold others accountable.
  • Ability to mitigate teams conflicts and elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources / cross functional teams.
  • Proficient with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing scheduling requirements.
  • Function as team player by maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to assist.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Skills to set you apart:

  • Experience using ERP system IQMS
  • Experience in plastic injection molding operations
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
