We’re growing to serve you (a sneak peek at building 2)
In recent months we’ve told you about our new building which we purchased earlier this year to stay one step ahead of growing demand from our customers. It’s a key part of the future of New Berlin Plastics.
Now it’s time for a little show and tell! We recently shot a brief video tour of Building 2 to give you an “inside look” at our new facility. Click here or on the image above to view this 2-minute video.
Here are a few facts and figures about NBP Building 2:
- Size: 104,000 sq. ft.
- Warehousing operations: Racking systems to store raw materials and finished products. 12 loading docks for increased throughput of trucks.
- Manufacturing operations (future): This part of the building will hold 20 injection molding presses at minimum depending on the mix of press tonnages.
- Location: New Berlin, Wisconsin – 2 blocks from Building 1.
“This expansion will help us continue to provide the excellent support our customers have come to expect as we pursue growth,” points out business development manager Karl Held.
The warehouse section of Building 2 already contains most of NBP’s raw material and finished goods inventories. The manufacturing section will be built out as needed to mitigate production bottlenecks and serve customers’ needs.
