Maintenance Technician – 2nd shift

New Berlin Plastics is a custom injection molder in Southeastern Wisconsin. We are family-owned and have been in business since 1975! We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our facility and busy manufacturing group.
You will work with the team to install, maintain, and repair production and facility equipment including automated tooling/robotics, facility and manufacturing support systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair plant and facility machinery to include water, air, and electrical.
- Installation of new production machinery and automated tooling/robotics.
- Design and fabricate end of arm tooling devices and equipment to assist in manufacturing.
- Continually evaluate production machinery to identify opportunities that maximize machine efficiencies and continuous improvement.
- Manage workflow and set priorities using established maintenance work order request process and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
- Read and understand production machinery manuals to build knowledge and simplify troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Assist with electrical mold wiring and hydraulics for the tooling department.
- Identify potential safety issues throughout the facility and recommend appropriate resolution.
- Assist with managing inventory of parts and supplies needed for plant and facility equipment to minimize downtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Level of Education/Training/Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent experience
- 5 – 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance
- Demonstrated knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatics, and facility equipment
Skills that will make you stand out:
- Experience working in an injection molding environment
- Experience with 3 phase, 480V building service
- Training and experience installing, troubleshooting, and repair of automation systems
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new software
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing scheduling requirements
